By controlling the compression force within certain defined limits, better part quality can be maintained. A tablet press force monitor can become an online tablet quality inspector.<\/p>\n<p>Helm has a unique approach to measuring the force on high speed tablet presses. Using a precision machined and heat treated stainless steel load cell\u2019s, compression forces can be accurately monitored. Typically system is configured for 2 channels of monitoring. There are adjustable high &#038; low tolerance alarms for each channel, established as a percentage of allowable deviation from the sampled values.<\/p>\n<p>Helm has three monitoring options available.  Specialty input modules for Allen-Bradley PLC\u2019s provide the strain gage input for the load cell transducer.
